This is a contemplative series that invites us to reflect upon the Qualities of Love through Yin Yoga. Over 3 Sundays, our teacher Derrick will guide you through postures, guided meditation, and an introspective practice to explore what love means to you, as well as to affirm a love that nourishes and sustains, and supports your whole well-being.
YIC loves Super Farmers – an organisation founded by Cynthea Lam, whose belief that good nutrition forms the cornerstone of good health resonates so closely with YIC’s philosophy of Wellness. We are super excited to combine the benefits of yoga with the science of nutrition to cook up an event that that nourishes and sustains our body and promotes general wellbeing.
Hary believes that a familiarity with the fundamentals of Vinyasa will enable a student to get more out of a class – whether it is to reap the most benefits from the poses; to be graceful or exploratory in motion; to have fun through familiarity with popular sequences; or most importantly, to transition safely in and out of poses and preserve the longevity of your yoga practice.
When we hone our sensory awareness in movement and touch to awaken our patterns of behaviour, we can experience how the body and mind are intricately connected to our nervous system. This trauma-informed somatic series will shine a light on our habitual but unconscious neurological patterning that manifest into how we breathe, our posturing, and our reactivity to our environment. Join Daphne in exploring some of these body-based tools to regulate our stress responses and resource our resilience in these challenging times.
Book a private healing or yoga session, for up to 2 persons, with one of our teachers. Classes include: Finding Space with Yin (incorporating sound healing), Reiki Healing & Guided Meditation, Yin/Restorative, Gentle Flow & Stretch, Gentle Yoga & Aromatherapy. Alternatively, you can nominate a style of yoga that you would like to practice and we will try to accommodate you.
In our TU-LA 3-class Special Sensory Series at YIC, teacher and sound healer Mae invites you to explore the ways that we can find peace and ease in our mind, body and space. Expect an amazing sensory journey where you will experience gentle yoga, soothing healing, and a sublime sound bath.
We are very pleased to present a pared-back and soul-nourishing retreat with Gabi. The theme of our retreat is “seeking space and finding stillness” – an appropriate theme for our very face-paced and stressful modern lifestyle. With all our mod-cons and highly wired existence, we are losing touch with nature and in many ways, with ourselves as well. When was the last time that we walked barefoot on grass, or enjoyed the drizzle of rain without running for cover?
This retreat is sold out.
