Dear Women, I invite you to come together for a women’s circle gathering in the beautiful space of Yoga in Common. Join me in my intention to create an empowering and replenishing experience for women as we gather and connect over what matters deeply to us. The evening will begin with a guided arrival using meditation or mantra to bring clarity to our intentions for the evening. I will then open the circle with a theme. The themes of the Women’s Circle are thoughtfully selected to arouse and nurture (re)connection with ourselves and the world around us. They consist of topics that we may, on some level, have a deep yearning to delve into, subjects that we may have somehow been conditioned to feel disempowered to discuss. Each woman will have the time and space to contemplate and share as much or as little as she would like to about the theme – her feelings about it, her experience of it, her relationship with it. As we go around the circle, we will practise giving and receiving the gift of holding space for each woman as she finds her voice. To aid digestion of the evening’s conversation, you may be invited to experience evocative journaling, movement or partner exercises that resonate with the theme of the circle. Time will be allowed for reflection and integration, and the circle will conclude with a closing ritual to honour the energy of the women that have shown up. Please wear comfortable, unrestrictive clothing that allows you to sit on the ground and move freely. You may choose to bring your personal journal. Otherwise, writing material will be provided. See you in the circle – come as you are. Desiree

About Desiree:

Desiree is a practising psychologist who believes that wellness is not all in the mind, but very much also in the body and soul. Did you know that the word psychology comes from Greek words that translate as ‘the study of the soul’? In pursuit of a deeper understanding of this study, Desiree completed a 200-hour yoga teacher training in Hatha yoga with Emily Kuser and her international faculty (Andrea BoniNanna Wagner, Mei Lai Swan and Rachel Ellery). The journey she experienced with these teachers truly shook things up and awakened a desire to share the gifts that have been illuminatedShe is grateful for the opportunity to share these gifts in the peaceful, light-filled space of Yoga in Common among like-hearted folks.

Desiree’s intention is clear – to hold space for the journey back to the Self.

Join her in the monthly Women’s Circle for delicious evenings of connection and self-reclamation.
