Our Philosophy

YIC was founded on the philosophy that Yoga is for Every Body. We have created
a safe, supportive and non-judgemental space for all teachers and students to share their love of yoga, meditation and wellness.

We believe that everyone can benefit from a mindful and compassionate practice.

Class Types

Classic
Our classic classes are taught in the classical traditions of yoga. Learn breathing techniques (pranayama), foundational as well as intermediate postures (asanas), and the philosophy of this universal practice.
Creative
Join us in a fun free-flowing practice to lift your vibes! You can expect different ways to move and stretch your body to help improve your stamina, mobility and flexibility.
Calming
These are serene ‘work-in’ classes to soothe, nourish and calm. These sessions suit anyone looking to start their yoga journey, or to practise slowing down and being in the moment.
Special
Our special classes are unique event-classes to elevate your practice and enhance your wellness. These limited sessions are guided by YIC teachers or specialist guest teachers.
Private & Corporate​
Book a private healing or yoga session for yourself or your company. We provide all training materials including mats and props so all you need to do is show up on the mat in your exercise clothes, with an open mind and an open heart!

Easter Weekend Classes

30 – 31 March

Take some time out and join us for extra classes for fun, joy and wellbeing this Easter weekend!

We kick off our special class on Saturday 30th with a 75 minute semi-private Restorative Yoga session with Hary. It will be an extra-deluxe personalised class for total rest and relaxation.

On Sunday, our fun and energetic Partner Yoga with Angie & Jo will lift your vibes! So bring a friend to practise with, or make a friend in class! 

Our monthly Intro to inversions workshop is a carefully paced class that aims to bring you safely into a headstand. It is not a challenge – so you can take as long as you wish to accomplish this demanding pose. Guided by Yoyo.

Spring Embrace Jeju Retreat

In Korea, Spring is known as ‘Queen of the Seasons’.  We are inspired to guide you on a grounding wellness journey to soak in the vibrant energy of Spring in Jeju – from the idyllic countryside, to the mesmerising volcanic beaches to the buzz of Jeju city.

In this beautiful part of the world, we invite you to enjoy nature & its blooms, the company of like-minded people, the unique excursions, and the amazing fresh local produce & cuisine.

You will be guided by Angie, who will serve as lead teacher & local facilitator. In our all-inclusive retreat, there is nothing for you to do but be.

Chakra Balance | Yin Yoga

Tuesday nights in April

We invite you to our special Yin Yoga for Chakra balancing, a 4-part series curated and guided by Jo.

The Chakras comprise of spinning discs that form our energy centres. There are 7 main chakras in the body and each correlates to the organs, nerve bundles and the emotional core of our being.

When our Chakras are in balance, we feel joy, acceptance, confidence and love. We are open to new adventures and meaningful relationships. We rise to life’s challenges with clarity and composure.

Each week, we will practise Yin Yoga that focuses on a complementary Chakra pair. We recommend participating in all 4 classes for a complete rejuvenating wellness experience.
